Three Rivers Village School is an innovative, independent, democratic school in Pittsburgh, PA, serving youth ages 5–18.
We trust that children learn best when driven by internal motivation, following their own rhythms and paths. There are no required classes, books, tests, or homework assignments. Instead, students choose how to spend their time – for example, playing, socializing, exploring the neighborhood, participating in interest-based clubs, and working on personal projects.
Three Rivers Village School admits students of any race, color, citizenship, religion, gender identity, disability, sexual orientation, or national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, citizenship, gender identity, disability, sexual orientation, or national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
TRVS is primarily tuition-funded and is committed to creating a workable financial plan for the family of every child who wants to attend.
Students are admitted year-round. Please read our admissions information, check out the about section of this website, and attend our next info session.
